The ‘‘Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” or PUBLIC LAW 111–148 was enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress on March 23, 2010. The comprehensive reform law was enacted in two parts. The “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” signed into law on March 23, 2010 and then amended by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act on March 30, 2010.
